This is my go-to for the best rotating taps in town with great food and the best staff you could ask for. Their space can get a bit noisy when it's crowded (which is frequently) but it's impossible to stay away from there for long (and they have outdoor seating too). I recommend their sandwiches and smash burgers, but their nachos are super tasty too, and they even have a warm spinach salad! You could order some yummy new thing every day of the week, never get bored or have a bad meal. It's the place I take friends when they come to town or go to to kick it by myself when I need to decompress. They even have a selection of to-go micro brews available in cans. Their beverages include (with alcohol content) ciders, sours, wine and seltzers. Their beer list includes lagers, blondes, pilsners, ambers, pale ales, IPAs (west coast and hazys), double and triple IPAs, porters, stouts, brown ales and even some non-alcoholic brews (all the rage now, I've heard). Their taps are a rotating selection from heaven. This month they're featuring the incredible Fieldwork Brewery from the East Bay (and Sac). You won't be disappointed if you go, I promise! Enjoy!

The burgers are amazing here. The staff was so friendly and the place was in a great location, reasonable priced. Only gave it 4 stars because the ranch had a weird taste and super liquidy.

This spot hits that perfect middle ground between a laid-back pub and a creative gastropub. The food was excellent—especially the tacos, which came in a unique mix that made it fun to try a little bit of everything. Each one had its own personality, and you could tell there was real thought behind the flavors. The beer selection was just as impressive, with plenty of great options whether you’re into something local, hoppy, or a smooth classic. It’s the kind of place where you could easily settle in for a while and enjoy a few rounds. The atmosphere really ties it all together—lively, comfortable, and just the right amount of energy without feeling overwhelming. A great find if you’re looking for something a little more elevated than your typical pub.

I visited Commonwealth a few weeks ago on my first trip to California for business and had an excellent experience. Because of that, I decided to visit again in March since it was within walking distance of my hotel. This time, however, the experience was very different. I ordered the jalapeño ranch fries and one of their red lagers, just like I had during my previous visit. After ordering, I was given a table number and told my drink would be brought out to me. After waiting about 35 minutes, I finally got up and walked inside to see what was going on. A gentleman brought my fries out shortly after, and I mentioned that the beer was also supposed to be brought to my table when I first sat down. He said he would grab one for me. Waiting that long for a beer and fries seemed a bit excessive. Unfortunately, when the fries arrived, all the toppings were sitting at the bottom with just a pile of plain fries on top, which was disappointing compared to my first visit. I know restaurants can have off days, but this visit just didn’t live up to the great experience I had the first time. I’m gonna give it another try since it is great atmosphere the Smashburger I had the first time was

The ambience of the place and staff were both lovely! My favorite food was their garlic fries, which was a side with the burger. The burger was 3.5/5, chicken and waffles 4/5, and salad 4/5 too. The veggies in the salad didn’t taste all too fresh, and the fried chicken wasn’t great either. Good stop on a road trip!
